Ice Water by Juan Roberts

This is a typographical study of a new font to me.

Often times, when I am beginning a new project, I practice using new fonts to understand their capabilities. Typography is a love of mine. Since I was a teen I have love the shapes and configurations that the descenders, ascends, stems, serifs, crossbars, bowls, tails, etc. I find that I can create moods with type only.

This particular font I love for a new project, however, these modern fonts, many times, don't follow the classic font rules, so I need to know that the font family can do what I need to accomplish.

This image came from a shoot I did of pool water, but it looks cool (to me). The font was very adaptable and worked well for the type of project I am going to use it for. More about the project later.
